NBC cuts 10 jobs in marketing unit

NBC began eliminating jobs across its marketing and communications departments Friday, pink-sliding 10 employees plus a 26-year veteran in the network. Jim Vescera, executive V . p . and artistic director of marketing within the Peacock, is exiting along with nine others inside the marketing department. You'll find 150 employees in general across NBC's marketing division. Additional cuts are needed striking among the network's publicity unit, but no specific names have made an appearance yet. NBC marketing is introduced by Len Fogge, one of several lieutenants introduced in from Showtime a year ago by Robert Greenblatt, who left the pay cabler to think about over as chairman of NBC Entertainment. NBC recently launched a massive promo push for "The Voice" and "Smash," which got traction with auds inside their first week round the air. NBC declined comment.
