How can I get better at band?

I've been in band since the end of fourth grade and I'm now going into
my sophomore year. I started on trumpet then transferred to baritone
at the end of my eighth grade year and I absolutely suck! I never seem
to know when to come in, like I'll count but it never sounds right
when I come in, and I can't play really fast, I was gonna quit band,
but I got motivated to do it because I do like band, but I hate it
when I can't play crap. But how can I get better, band camp is a
little over a month away and I want to really impress my band teacher,
considering the fact that I'm not too good. Thanks if you can help!

How do new bands become more known and eventually become more famous?

Some friends and I started a progressive band recently but we're all
amateurs in the music business. That said, we are not amateur
players. We're starting to get our stuff recorded and whatnot but
haven't a clue how to go about getting people to hear it, and
eventually getting a record company to hear it. Is there more we
should know besides getting demo cd's out to everyone we know and
getting things on youtube etc?

why is it that big guys more often sing higher pich and little guys sing base better?

why does this happen? iv noticed that more often big guys can sing
higher pich better and little guys can nail base better?

when i sing it sounds like im moaning.. :( oh no?

no matter how hard i try or how much i dont try, how loud or quiet i
am it comes out like moaning! my natural talking voice is your basic
high pitch california voice, high pitch, calming, i either talk really
slow or really fast you get it. ok well i dont know if i sing high or
low i think im in the middle cause i can do both; just not well. im a
pretty sucky singer. i really want to be able to sing anything from
selena gomez to maroon 5 to all time low to mumford and sons to katy
perry to the killers to the main to kesha.i dont want to sing like
them i just want to be able to do a huge range of songs while keeping
my voice unique, well yeah you get it. why does it sound like im
moaning and how do i fix it?even when i talk it some times sounds like
im moaning i do moan a lot. im just very vocal. i really need to fix
it. its embarrassing that i cant sing without sounding like im in pain
or overly excited....

what is a good SAD or TEEN ROMANCE film?

Eminem: Where did the whole Stan being Canibus thing come from?

Does anyone know how this started? I'm referring to how any videos
that are or are related to Eminem's Stan, someone mentions how Canibus
really looked up to Eminem, and then Eminem wrote Can-I-Bitch, and

The character:
A lone young girl locked away in her room and surrounded by books.
She's told once she finishes all the books she will be released but
more and more books are added... Her solace lies in fairy tales and

world she's denied. She's a naive girl that thinks her prince charming
is right around the corner and forever lost in her own fantasy world.

Music recommendations for a picky person?

I am INCREDIBLY picky when it comes to music, and unfortunately I am
in need of new stuff. I'm into indie/rock such as Florence + the
Machine and Death Cab for Cutie, and I'm also into some pop such as
Lady GaGa and La Roux. I'm always looking for similar bands/artists,
but searches ALWAYS come up with shitty comparisons such as Katy
Perry, Muse; artists and bands that have nothing in common from my
music taste. I'm into fresh and original instrumentals, deep and
creative lyrics, and strong/unique vocals. Lady GaGa is one of the few
popular artists I love, so don't say, "OH, KE$HA! SHE'S JUST LIKE
HER!" ... She's not even close. Do you know what I'm getting at?

More examples of bands/artists I love are MIKA, Shiny Toy Guns (old
album, not 'Season of Poison'), Queen, Black Cards, No Doubt, Michael
Jackson, David Bowie, VersaEmerge, Little Boots, etc. I'm diverse,
however VERY touchy.

why did redbox give a empty box?

So my dad was at the redbox going to get a movie but before he went a
old lady was ordering after you got her disk box she noticed it didn't
have a movie in it so i am asking why did it give her an empty box? i
thought you couldn't turn a movie in if it wasn't in the box becuase
it needs a code to be able to be turned in. doesn't it? i mean the
other people could have turn the box in but without the disk they
probably still going to be paying for it and since the lady doesn't

1920's-30's period. I want to keep the movie as authentic as possible.
It's about prohibition and the influence it had on American organized
